Two Barbel For Brian Hooper

After quite a series of blanks Brian Hooper has had a couple of specimen Barbel from the Rother. The first fish weighed in at magnificent 15lb 14oz and was caught at Coultershaw. The second fish came after eight blanks in succession at Fittleworth but persistence paid off when Brian landed a 15lb 2oz specimen.

Brian said that he was particularly chuffed with his Fittleworth fish as it was from the first bit of the river he fished when he was a kid. Both fish fell to boilies and were caught as evening set in.

Brian’s Coultershaw fish puts him in top spot as far as the specimen barbel trophy is concerned.
