Match Report

Unfortunately only about half the Anglers invited to this match were able to participate because of prior commitments. Nevertheless those that did attend enjoyed a pleasant afternoons fishing followed by a lavish BBQ courtesy of Match Secretary Steve.

It came as no surprise that the match was won by one of our regular matchmen Vince Herringshaw especially as he had drawn one of the flyers Peg 15 on Stemps. Vince landed six carp for his total weight of 21 – 4 – 8.

Second was Nelson Keet Jr who also had six carp from Peg 1 but with a slightly less average weight to give him 18 – 12 – 0

Third on Peg 6 was Steve Jeffery, another matchman who features regularly in our club matches, often in first place. Steve would have won the match easily had he been able to land some of the thirteen carp which he hooked but lost. Instead he weighed in the five he did land for a total of 15 – 8 – 0
