Match Report

The match was originally booked for Triggs Lock, but a couple of Portsmouth members had fished there the week before and reported back that it was dire! It was therefore decided to move the match to The Tannery stretch of the Wey Navigation. Unfortunately due to a communication breakdown we thought that we were on the river rather then the canal, so we turned up somewhat ill equipped both tackle and bait wise. Anyway we decided to give it a go particularly as we heard that this stretch had produced at least one 10lb bag of quality roach the week before.

It did however turn out to be a real struggle and the only person who really caught was Steve S who had about 20 fish for 0 – 8 – 8 to win the match. Rab managed 3 fish towards the end of the match for 0 – 3 – 0 and Dave C (Portsmouth) and Dean S (Portsmouth) had a 2oz fish a piece.
