Match Report

Thirteen anglers turned out for the last match of the season on Stemps and we very nearly used all the pegs on the lake. We were expecting a few carp to come out and to get into the frame you needed to have at least two. We did not see the skimmers and roach come out as we expected although Keith had a good net of skimmers and both John S and Rab found some good roach. A couple departed no doubt wanting to get to see all the England v Scotland game.

Kevin Leighfield was one off the peg he wanted having drawn 14. But with 3 carp for just short of 13lb and a few bits his 13-8-8 was enough for first place.

Fishing his first match on Stemps, Steve Hanson drew peg 1, he had 2 carp for just over 10lb and those together with his bits gave him 11 – 13 – 8 for second place.

All the 2’s for Steve Simmonds he landed 2 carp and lost 2 from peg 2 and these with just over 2lb of bits gave him 8 – 12 – 0 for third place.
