Runner Up:  Vince Herringshaw
15-4-0
Third:  Steve Hanson

This match was scheduled to be fished on the Arun at Watersfield, however due to the heavy rain and flooding it was decided for safety and access reasons to move it to the Match Lake at Hurston. It had continued to rain in the previous week  as indicated by the water across Hurston Lane. Eight anglers turned up on another mild and dry day and the match was pegged with 4 anglers each side of the lake. Carp dominated the match with only the odd bream being caught. Again there was an absence of smaller fish, even the perch had disappeared.

Keith Hughes continued his successful run this winter with 19-8-0 of carp on maggot using the long pole fishing on the inside. He was fishing on the first platform past the reeds on the stream side and the catch consisted of several of the newly introduced carp.

Fishing on the road side in the stump swim was Vince Herringshaw who caught 4 carp weighing 15-4-0 on maggot fishing close to the island using the long pole. Two of these carp were caught in the first hour with the last 2 right at the last knockings.

In third place was Steve Hanson who was fishing the last swim on the road side and caught 2 carp and a bream weighing 10-8-0 on the long pole.
