I woud like to thank Vince for this report as I did not fish as I was visiting my daughter to see my new grandson. The match was pegged up towards the town with the weather again being mild with no mist or fog. The water was calm with only a small amount of leaves. The water again was fairly clear and it was thought that it could be hard but everyone started to catch straight away. Unfortunately the arrival of the first boat trip caused the bites to slow down and although the anglers struggled for bites after its appearance everyone kept catching. Six anglers fished including Trevor, who fished the last canal match and new member Andy May who previously used to match fish in this area before moving away.

Vince Herringshaw used his standard canal approach of whip fishing bread punch over liquidised bread to weigh in 5-0-4 and take first place.

In second place was Keith Hughes who used the long pole and fished maggot over groundbait to weigh in 3-5-12.

Mike Kitchener was in third place weighing 2-15-12.
