Match Report

The third leg of Moss Cup was fished on the Rother at Coultershaw on yet another warm and sunny evening. The river was low but there was a reasonable flow and no colour. As usual the match was a walk off with a number of options on where to fish. Keith Hughes fished in the weir pool and lost a barbel of about 4lb ledgering meat. Mick Greenway and Ray Huskisson both hooked bigger fish that they lost, which could have been barbel. As yet no barbel has been landed in a match.

Vince Herringshaw was fishing the swim where the stream comes into the main river. He used a small lollipop float on the pole to catch 9-11-0 of dace, roach and chublets on maggot.

Mick Greenway was fishing the fourth swim in the fenced off riffle section to catch 6-11-0 on maggot trotting a stick float.

Vince had a bag of dace, roach and chublets

Mick had a similar bag for second place

Steve Simmonds was fishing the first swim outside of the fenced off section and trotted a stick float to catch 3-7-12 of silverfish.

After three legs of the Moss Cup Vince (27 points) leads from Steve (26 points).
