Second was Dave Chambers with a string of huge Barbel culminating in the new Rother record of 16lbs 12ozs pictured below.

Former Rother record holder Peter Foster was in contention as usual when his perserverance paid off with a magnificent 17lb 8oz Barbel from the Arun. Peter a Committee Member and avid Barbel enthusiast is pictured below with his specimen. He writes an article about this capture in the latest issue of Sussex Angler magazine.

Other notable entries included Steve Warner’s 2lb 14oz Roach along with his 17lbs 3oz Arun Barbel pictured below.
