Dave Chambers has broken the record for a Barbel caught anywhere on the Western Rother with this magnificent fish of 16lb 12oz which beats the previous best of 15lb 3oz.

The superb specimen was caught on one of Dave’s own boilies and was witnessed by Club Committee Member Peter Foster, no stranger to specimen Barbel himself.

This is the fourth Barbel over 15lb Dave has banked from the Rother this season.
