Whilst fishing with dad Trevor at Hurston Match Pond young Jack Horton landed this lovely Perch.

Jack caught it on his very first outing with a pole. He was actually about to land a small roach when the 1lb 10oz stripey grabbed it and managed to hook itself on the size 16 hook he was using.

Our predictions that Jack would make a fine match angler one day may well come true, but he could also be a budding specimen hunter too.
