Although Rother Bailiff Mike Kitchener’s river campaign has yet to produce that first Barbel of the new season he is not complaining. His tally of fish caught stands at nine Chub up to 4lb 4oz and two Bream including the 6lb fish pictured left.

Bet it won’t be too long before that first Barbel is banked Kitchy.
