Taking advantage of the recent mild weather Bailiff Mike Kitchener fished an afternoon session on the Carp Pond at Hurston Lane.

He had 10 carp from 1lb to 15lb 6oz, all were caught on the float apart from the big one that he caught on a fly rod using a home tied imitation dog biscuit.

This was Mike’s first ever carp on a fly rod and he said ‘boy what a fight it gave me.’
