A lot of youngsters get hooked on fishing after catching their first perch so what could be a better way to start the 2010/11 Season’s Gallery than this lovely shot of four year old Oliver and the Perch he landed during a session at Hurston Match Pond. Oliver was fishing with dad Mike Kitchener one of our Rother bailiffs and he also had several good Roach and Rudd which were taken on caster. A switch to worm accounted for the Perch.

I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of Oliver in the future if he’s following his dad’s love of the sport.
