16lb Rother Barbel Landed

At the end of his recent summary of his season’s successes on the River Rother Stephen Gray suggested that if the rivers fined down enough before the end of the season and conditions were right he might still have a chance of beating his PB Barbel of 12lb 8oz caught earlier in the season.
Although still above normal winter levels, conditions had improved enough at the weekend to make fishing the Rother possible once again for the first time in weeks.
