We are now a week into the ‘lockdown’ and I hope you are finding things to occupy your time while you cannot go fishing. It’s very sad that we have had no alternative but to close our waters in line with the government’s policy during these difficult times, but not to do so would be irresponsible.
Like you, I can’t wait to go fishing again, rest assured the time will come when we can once again enjoy our fishing. Whether it’s a still water or our rivers we have our memories and something to look forward to. We will keep you fully informed of any developments and likewise being a friendly bunch of anglers can I ask that you stay in touch with each other but strictly by phone, text, e-mail or our Facebook page and spend some time talking about fishing.
We have had a good early response with regard to membership but some of you are perhaps holding off while the situation evolves. We would urge you to join if possible, so that when we get the green light you are fully prepared to be able to enjoy our waters immediately.
Existing members should have received a renewal form about a month ago, to rejoin you will have to use the postal option, just follow the instructions on the back of the form and your membership should be back with within a few days (post permitting).
If you would like to join the club and don’t have a renewal form. You can use the online form, simply fill this in and follow the instructions. If you cannot use this option send us an e-mail with your postal address and we will put a form in the post to you.
I look forward to seeing you back out on our waters sometime soon, but most of all stay safe and sound. I would like to sign off “tight lines” sadly not just yet, but that time will come.
