This year our main speaker is Neil Wayte, all round specimen hunter whose larger than life captures (and personality!) are well known. Neil is a regular contributor to the angling press and also author of the definitive ‘River Carping’ which is regarded as the first and best book dedicated to carp fishing on the nations rivers. It contains a chapter on the River Arun which is sure to appeal to Members and other local carp anglers.

Neil has become more involved in barbel and chub fishing in recent years and now works for Gardner Tackle as a consultant. They describe him as a ‘frighteningly skilful angler with a larger than life personality’.

Neil promises to bring along a wealth of anecdotes about big fish of almost every species along with some of his experiences as a tackle developer and tester with Gardner Tackle.

Even though Neil has promised to keep us well entertained, we have managed to again secure the services of the duo that have successfully opened our last couple of Anglers Open Evenings.

Martin and Jon will be presenting their angling season for the year just gone. They will have plenty of pictures and stories to tell – but we are keeping them on a tight leash this year, as entertaining as they are, we don’t want to miss the main event!
