Having recently rejoined Luke Marsh got the new river season off to a flying start during an early morning session at Coultershaw.
Luke had two Barbel, his first ever, and they arrived in quick succession.

The first weighed in at 7lb 6oz and the second at 10lb 8oz. Both were taken using a combination of halibut pellet and groundbait feeder and they were hooked within 40 minutes of each other.

Luke was previously a member during the 2009/10 season and despite several attempts he failed to land one of the elusive Rother Barbel. After his brilliant start Luke is now looking forward to redressing the balance this season.
