News Report
We received our latest consignment of fish at Hurston on Wednesday 19th December. This was a batch of tench which we had reserved in the spring but have had to wait until the conditions were right to move them. The fish were originally scheduled a couple of weeks ago but because the ponds were frozen they could not be moved. We had fairly short notice of the fish arriving so Nelson and I decided that we would be able to handle the transfer ourselves.
We moved about 250 fish into the tench lake. Undoubtedly the king of these was a magnificent male of about 6½lb. All the fish looked in very good condition and will hopefully settle well into their new surroundings.
If you fish the tench lake over the next month or so please let us know how you get on.
