This was a change of venue from that published and we were on Passies Match lake rather than Sumners. The match was a joint event with The Sportsman Club and over 20 anglers turned out. We pegged the road bank and the bunker straight. What a surprise, rain was forecast, but an even bigger surprise was the fact that it didn’t arrive and for the first time in about a month we had a dry match.
Mick Greenway drew the end peg on the bunker straight which was generally considered to be the hot swim, particularly as it was also end peg. He did take full advantage and easily won the match with 111lb 9oz. In second was Paul Ward a Passies regular with 64lb 8oz and third was club stalwart Phil Tubb with 45lb 3oz.
