Match Report
After all the rain and mild temperatures we had experienced over the last couple of weeks we woke to a very cold and frosty morning at Summners Ribbon Pond. We felt that the drop in temperature could well make the fishing hard on what is normally a very prolific venue and this proved to be the case.
Keith managed to find a couple of reasonable fish and also had an interesting encounter with a moorhen which was returned with only its dignity slightly hurt – I hasten to add that he did not weigh it! Without the moorhen his 5lb 11oz was just enough for first place.
Mick Greenway also managed a couple of reasonable fish and was just behind Keith on 5lb 8oz and second place.
Steve Penticost went for silver fish and managed to put together a reasonable bag of 4lb 8oz which was good for third place.
