Match Report

This was our first away day of the year and a visit to the very popular Stanbridge View. A good turn out meant we pegged all the way around the lake leaving an empty peg next to every angler. Another warm sunny day with a gentle breeze with a few fish seen moving around at the draw and hopes were high for a few bites. At the off as per usual young Cody was into a Carp within the first couple of minutes leaving the rest of us wondering how he does it at this venue but after 1/2 hour everyone was catching a few. Come the weigh in it seemed that the pegs with shallower margins had a better last hour or so and moved away from the rest of the field.

In first place with 87lb 12oz was Mark Holland, a couple of fish back was Keith Hughes in second place with 80lb 1oz and in third was ex club member Vince Herringshaw, fishing as a guest with 70lb 12oz.

As for Cody, after his flying start he finished with 53Ib that from a peg without a good margin was a very good result.

Total weight caught on the day was 520Ib
