Match Report

Chichester’s Long lake was the venue for this away day match, and a warm dry day greeted us. This match is run as an inter club match with teams of 10, at the draw we drew the 2nd set of pegs giving us some good pegs and one our two not so good. At the start of the match most of us fished the pole on a short line and 2 went on the feeder and the Carp showed on both methods. With a few of the Chichester anglers reporting catching some big bags a half time weigh in was called and from this it showed us that local knowledge was key as after 3 hours a few of them already had over 100Ib and most of us had between 20 and 30Ib. In the 2nd half we all started fishing very short or in the margins with a little more success. At the end we finished a long way behind the guys from Chichester but we  all had a fantastic day at a very nice venue and picked up a bit more knowledge for next time.
