Match Report

The last evening match of the year was an away match at Stanbridge View. A warm overcast evening with a strong wind and a chance of rain greeted us. We pegged the higher number pegs from 21 around to 30 in the narrow part of the lake that offered some shelter. Things got off to a slow start with just a few bites for all but after a heavy shower things picked up a little with a steady flow of fish to the net for the last two hours.
Keith, fishing peg 28 fished meat short in open water to catch Carp in the 5 to 7Ib bracket followed by a few edge fish in the last 1/2 hour for 58lb 13oz and first place
Mick on peg 27 fished paste short into the corner to catch a lot of 3 to 5Ib fish for 44lb 5oz which secured second place
Jon was in peg 23 and could not find anything across to the end of the Island but did manage a good run of fish down the edge in the last hour or so. His total of 37lb 12oz gave him thrid place.
