Match Report
The third leg of the Kirkby Bott trophy was fished on a very windy day at Watersfield. It was overcast, warm and with a hint of rain. Steve Simmonds was again busy and had cut out two swims downstream of the normal number 1 peg. The normal Peg 1 swim was not used as when the tide drops the lump of reeds upstream of the peg gives problems with keepnet location.
In first place fishing the peg upstream of the Mint Swim was Mick Greenway who used an avon float on rod and line and a bolo float on the pole to catch roach and dace weighing 8-14-8.
Steve Simmonds, fishing the Mint Swim used rod and line to catch 8-2-8 of roach and dace.
Vince Herringshaw was fishing one of the newly cut out upstream swims and used the bolo float on the pole to catch 7-1-0 of roach and dace.
