For the first match on the Chichester canal this season we had 8 anglers turn up on a pleasant warm evening . The match was pegged from Hunston up towards Chichester. However there were a lot of cyclists and runners out on the bank and this made it a challenge for anyone fishing the pole.
Keith Hughes, fishing the pole caught mainly skimmers on the far shelf for a weight of 3 – 6 – 8 which gave him first place.
Vince Herringshaw fishing bread punch also caught skimmers for a weight of 2 – 13 – 4 and second place.
Mick Greenway also fished bread punch on the short pole to catch 1 – 11 – 0 of skimmers for third place.
