Compared to the first match the turnout was down, possibly because of the poor weights on the previous match. This time we fished up towards the city with the hope that the fishing would be better. In the event it proved as hard as the previous week and we also had the disadvantage of a lot of foot and bike traffic on the towpath.
It seemed that the further down the stretch you were the better the fishing, this proved to be the case for Mick Greenway who was end peg and at 2 – 12 – 8 had double the next nearest weight.
Vince came in second with 1 – 14 – 8 from another of the higher pegs and Kevin Dowell was third with 1 – 1 – 0 from the peg next door.
