Match Report

For the last match of the canal evening series it was decided that we should cross to the other side of the canal and walk up towards Chichester from Hunston. The first peg was on the big tree on the near side and we were spread 20 or so yards apart from there.

Keith Hughes had an excellent session on the waggler and also managed to minimize his losses for once and came away with a very good mixed bag of 7 – 15 – 8 (top weight from the canal for the evening series) this was sufficient for first place.

Sat next to Keith but unable to keep up with him was Vince Herringshaw who finished with 4 – 0 – 0.

In third place a bit of a dark horse sneaking up on the rails was John Savage, I’m sure John won’t mind me mentioning the fact that he is one of our more mature anglers but is a regular match attendee. John was not far behind Vince on 3 – 11 – 8.

After an excellent three match evening series on the canal Keith Hughes has just pipped Vince Herringshaw by one point to win the trophy.
