Match Report
Well for the first time since we have been fishing matches at Bethwins it didn’t rain. It did start clouding up in the last half hour or so and we were beginning to expect a traditional Bethwins soaking.
Still no carp from the bottom lake for a match angler although they seemed to be in everyone’s swim but we just don’t seem to be able to find anything to tempt them. Vince had heard that the pleasure anglers catch them on bread so had a go with that this time round, but still no joy!
The perch were not as prolific as usual and Rab was really the only one to catch through the match and with a weight of 5 – 10 – 0 quite easily won the lake from round the back.
Kevin was in the peg underneath the top lake, he also had a go for the carp using various methods with no luck. Going back to the perch for sessions during the match Kevin found that the perch were sporadic but did manage to weigh 2 – 12 – 8 for 2nd place on the lake.
What with his carping exploits and the fact that he spent at least an hour talking to Keith, Vince was some way back with 1 – 6 – 0.
