As at Fittleworth last week the river was looking good and this week the fishing proved to be quite a bit better. There were a number of chub caught and a number of anglers had a decent number smaller fish. Oh and just to mention that Mick G was in among the trout again however only minnows to go with it this time, however Vince reckoned he had two of the biggest minnows he has ever seen!
Steve Speller fished just downstream of the first big bend up from the bridge and had one good chub of close to 4lb and a smaller one for a total of 4 – 12 – 8.
Richard Leduc is obviously out to make a name for himself on the river, he chose the swim just above the bridge and had one chub of close to 4lb and some bits for a total of 4 – 5 – 8.
Vince fished opposite the stream above the bridge, this has always been a favoured swim for a net of bits and it proved so for Vince who had a couple of small chub and some good dace for 4 – 0 – 0.
With the final leg at Coultershaw next week Richard and Steve are level on points with Richard having a slight advantage as far as weight is concerned.
