Match Report

Only 4 anglers turned up for last leg of the evening series on the Rother but this leg saw two better catches along with a couple of reasonable sized chub. Again we were fortunate that it was a pleasant warm evening.

In first place fishing the swim above the cattle drink was Vince Herringshaw. He caught 3 small chub along with dace on the stick and waggler float using maggot to weigh in 4-15-0.

Steve Simmonds was fishing the swim where the stream comes in and made famous by Rab Butler with his catches of bream and chub. He caught dace and chub to weigh in 4-7-0 and take second place.

In third place was John Shepherd who caught 2-7-0 of dace and chublets on the stick float. He was fishing the first swim in the fenced off area.

Overall Vince Herringshaw won the Moss Cup with a great show of consistency taking one first and two second places.
