Coultershaw is becoming a bit of the Rab show. Last year he totally dominated this match from the peg opposite the side stream and he did the same again this time round. It wasn’t as if he drew first, there were a couple before him on the walk but both declined the opportunity to fish the peg.
Numbers were low and we suspect that the football might have played a part in this and although the river was low there was a reasonable amount of flow
As mentioned Rab went upstream to the peg opposite the side stream and this year found good chub instead of the bream of a year ago. His best fish was close to 5lb and with three others and a few bits and pieces Rab brought 16 – 6 – 0 to the scales to easily win the match.
Of the others Mick (trout) G had a few bits for 0 – 11 – 8 and I understand that the he might be losing his nickname as no spotties were caught this time. Richard had a couple of bits for just 0 – 1 – 8 however this was enough to secure the Moss Cup as the only other serious contender Steve Speller failed to weigh in.
