The last competition of the year at Petworth Park was organised slightly later in the year to see if the bream were still willing to feed. The 14 anglers who turned up were greeted with a warm autumn day with a slight/moderate wind. 12 anglers were pegged along the road bank with two pegged behind the first island. Unfortunately the experiment was not successful with only 8 bream, 3 tench and bits being caught and 7 of the anglers not weighing in.Kevin Leighfield easily won the match with 6 bream and 1 skimmer caught on feeder fished dead maggot from the peg to the left of the concrete slab. He was helped by the anglers either side of him packing up early although he had already caught enough to win the match.
In second place was Vince Herringshaw with a bream and tench and bits weighing 9-3-0 on the pole.
Keith Hughes was fishing next to Vince and caught 1 bream and bits to weigh in 7-9-8 and take third place
