The last match on this venue was a Committee match several years ago. There have been reports of good catches from individuals and it was decided to include an evening and whole day match in the calendar. There was heavy rain in the afternoon but the match was again fished under dry but overcast conditions although these were ideal for the midges. The venue fished well with all the anglers catching carp although none of the recently introduced perch were caught. In first place was Keith Hughes who struggled to catch carp in the early part of the match and only caught rudd on meat. However the carp moved in during the last part of the match and Keith caught 5 on paste on the long pole. Overall he weighed in 24-7-8.
Mike Kitchener was in second place and caught 1 carp on the feeder and 3 on the pole to weigh in 19-11-0. These were caught on pellet or meat.
In third place was Mick Greenway who caught 4 carp on meat on the pole along with an eel and a rudd. These weighed 14-8-8.
After the three legs Keith Hughes, with 29 points, won the Pibworth Cup from Mike Kitchener with 26 points
