Match Report

The first leg of the Pole Only Trophy match was originally scheduled to be fished on Cart. However it was decided to switch it to Stemps after low weights were caught on Cart in the Three Counties team match. Again there was an overnight frost which at least made it easier getting across the field to the venue. The temperature did rise during the day thawing out the path. However this did not help the fishing which started very slowly and the fish only really started to show in the last couple of hours. Vince having not caught in the first couple of hours decided to go into work and only returned when the fish had started to feed.

In first place was Paul Ward on Peg 6 who fished double maggot over loose feed to take 2-2-8 of roach.

Close behind in second place Richard LeDuc, fishing Peg 8, who caught 1-15-0 of roach on pinkies fished over groundbait.

Paul found a few Roach to win the match

Keith Hughes was fishing Peg 14 and finally found some roach close to the island. He weighed in 1-0-0 caught on double maggot.
