Match Report
This match was the second leg of the Pole Only Trophy and was fished in similar conditions to those experienced in the first leg, fished on Cart, – ie. a previous week of low temperatures and rain followed by a match day of cold windy conditions. The match was very hard with four anglers not weighing in – we even had one angler packing up at lunchtime.
Fishing Peg 1 was Paul Ward who used the long pole to catch 13 carp, weighing 36-8-0, to easily win the match. He fished sweetcorn over maggot and sweetcorn.
In second place was Glen Riley who caught one carp, weighing 4lb, in the margins to the left of Peg 15. This along with skimmers and roach gave him a total of 6-6-12.
Keith Hughes was on Peg 14 and caught skimmers and roach weighing 4-2-8.
Overall Glen won the Pole Only Trophy with 19 points from Keith with 16 points.
