Match Report
This match was fished in conjunction with the Sportsman Club on Sumners Match Lake. The weather was in marked contrast to the first match with high temperatures and very sunny conditions. We had fished this venue at the end of last year and there had been some good catches of carp and silverfish with the weights spread around the lake. However the carp seemed to be in specific areas with the carp absent from the area by the car park.
In first place was our youngest match angler Ollie Kitchener who had 4 carp, one down the edge on sweetcorn and 3 on pellet on the feeder close to the island. He also caught silverfish on the whip using maggot. These fish weighed 20-12-0.
Gary Collins was in second place with 17-6-0 and Mike Kitchener, (Ollie’s Dad) was in third with 14-1-0.
The match was won with 96lb of carp – Ollie who won our match was seventh overall.
