Match Report

This was the second match in the Stillwater evening match series with the weather again mild with little wind and no hint of rain this time. The previous match on the Match Pond was a day one against Chichester AC and it was a struggle with few carp caught and the weights made up of bream and F1s. There were no obvious signs of larger fish moving around although there were several large shoals of small fry approx 1cm in length in some of the swims- it was not obvious what type of fish they were but hopefully some will reach maturity. This match ended up being a struggle with few carp and F1s being caught.

In first place fishing Peg 13 (Vince’s Peg) was Gary Collins who caught two carp on the pole to weigh in 7-3-0.

Mick Greenway was in second place and caught a tench, an F1, roach, rudd and several perch weighing 5-11-0. He fished worm or dead maggot on the pole to catch his fish.

Jon Arnold used the feeder to catch one F1 weighing 3-10-0 to take third place.

Gary (20points) is leading the series from Mick (18points).
