Match Report
This was the second of the evening matches and was held on the Middle Pond at Hurston Lane. Graham had been up at the pond on Monday and had cleared several swims, at the Tench pond end, of weed but could not sort the ones at the Match pond end as there were anglers fishing. Thanks to Graham for sorting.
It was pleasant mild evening with no sign of rain, unlike the previous Wednesday.
The match turned out to be very close – In first place was Gary Collins fishing Peg 5. He fished the pole using maggot and sweet corn to catch 2 Carp, a Bream and some of the small F1s to weigh in 11lb 6oz.
Second place again was taken by Graham White, on Peg 3 who weighed in 11lb 0oz, consisting of 4 Carp and several small F1s. He again fished the pole, over to the fallen tree, using meat and lost several Carp which were too quick for him.
Mick Greenway fishing peg 2 was in third place using the pole to catch one Carp (on paste) along with 4lb of small F1s on paste and meat for a total of 7lb 2oz
After two rounds there is a tie on 18 points between Graham, Gary and Mick The next evening match is on the Hurston Match Pond.
