A chilly but fine morning greeted us for the first club match of the new year, The lake had some good colour so hopes were high for a few bites. Pegging around the whole lake to give everyone a bit of space things got off to a good start with Graham in peg 10 getting an F1 within the first 15 minutes and Mick in peg 1 not far behind. It turned out to be a tricky day with no small fish feeding. You had to be patient and wait for a Carp or F1 to come along.
Peg 5 seems to be the hot draw on the Match Pond last time out Mick won from here, this time it was Keith whose 17lb 10oz was enough to easily win the match.
