Match Report
Hurston Match Pond was our venue for this match, and with only two matches left to fish this season things are hotting up at the top of the league table and every point would count.
A wet and blowy day was on the cards and with the water levels already high due to the amount of rain we have had over the past few days, thoughts were it couldĀ be a tricky day so we pegged in blocks of 2 so everyone had an empty peg next to them.
After a very slow start with not even the small silver fish showing Richard on peg 10 had a small Mirror Carp after about an hour and this was followed by Keith on peg 14 getting an F1. After around 2 hours Mick on peg 1 and Gary on peg 5 started getting a few very small Rudd then at around 12.30pm the heavens opened and it rained until the end of the match.
As for the fishing, it turned into a battle between Keith and Richard.
Richard ended up with 15lb 12oz for first place and Keith was probably a fish behind with 14lb. In third place a long way behind was Graham with 3lb.
