Match Report
A chilly but dry and bright day was on the cards for our visit to Stemps pond on Sunday and after a trip earlier in the week by one of the chaps, hopes were high for a good day. This proved to be far from the case as the Skimmers did not want to play and even catching the small Roach was quite hard work. As the day went on a few Carp did start moving around so attentions turned to them but only 2 of us seemed to be able to get them to get their heads down.
Mick Fishing on peg 5 (golden peg) fished the feeder to the island and had a steady flow of bites for the last hour or so and his Carp with a few silver fish totaled 21lb 14oz for first place.
Keith on peg 8 got the Carp going on the short pole line to his left in the last hour or so and his 19lb 8oz was good for second place.
Richard drew peg 3 and had a Carp early on which together with a few silver fish weighed in 3lb 9oz for third place.
