Match Report

A very warm but overcast morning with the chance of a thunderstorm greeted us for the first visit of the year to The Granary.  When walking around the lake picking the pegs the carp were spawning in all the margins so with this in mind we spaced the pegs along both sides and hoped for the best.

Soon after the start fishing a light rig for Rudd, Gary hooked into a Carp that gave him the run around for 10 minutes before finally slipping into the landing net. This was taken as a sign that some of the Carp would play, So everyone switched to try for them.

Keith, fishing one of the middle pegs on the Golf club side fished a long pole with a large hard pellet on the deck hooked 13 and landing 12 carp including a lovely fish of 16Ib 9oz for a total weight of 75lb 6oz to win the match

Cody, fishing the fist peg on the same side lost a few, but landed 8 good Carp on paste at 9m in the open water for 40lb 5oz and second place

Mick, fishing opposite Keith, had one early fish followed by a late run on paste from the bush on his left hand side, for a total of 29lb 15oz and third place.
