Match Report

The warmest day of the year to date saw us at Hurston Match Pond for the first time this season.

We had a good turnout and had to use all but a couple of the pegs, most of the lake was covered in willow blossom so it could have been a bit tricky. It was clear from the start it was going to be hard to get past the small F1’s and silvers to get to the better fish but it was good to see plenty of small fish biting. At the weigh in only half the anglers had managed to find some of the better fish.

Leading the way was Keith Hughes with a very respectable 34lb 15oz. Mark Holland a new name this season was just second with 14lb 9oz just pipping old stager Steve Worth who had 14lb 6oz.
