Impromptu Hurston Winter Work Party

Although there was no match in the book a group of our regular match anglers decided to go up to Hurston and fish the Match Pond on Sunday 11th December 2022.

When they got there they found that all the ponds were frozen and there was no prospect of fishing, however, having made the effort they decided it would be a good idea to have a tidy up and also get rid of some of the rubbish on a bonfire – the fire was probably to keep them warm!!

They worked through until heavy snow started falling and curtailed proceeding, but in the time they were there they did manage to get a lot of things done which will make the spring work parties that bit easier as these tasks are out of the way.
