The Charity Barbel Fish-in will be held on Sunday 24th September at Coultershaw.
This year’s Barbel Fish-in will be the eleventh to be held in memory of keen local Barbel angler Chris Humphry since the first which took place in July 2011. We have decided to move the event to later in the season this year with the hope that we will actually see some Barbel action. As usual we’ll be meeting up in the car-park at Coultershaw for the draw at noon and fishing will finish at 7.0pm.
So far these events have raised well over a thousand pounds for charities chosen by the participants and Lynnette Humphry, who will be joining us once again to present the trophy to the angler who catches the biggest Barbel on the day (hopefully).
If you haven’t attended before, why not join us? Even if you don’t catch, you’ll have the opportunity to meet up with other members, chat to fellow Barbel enthusiasts, and talk about fishing in general or anything else that takes your fancy. In the evening we’ll gather by the cattle drink for refreshments and, find out who, if anyone, will be walking off with the trophy at the end of the day!
Many thanks to Lynnette for her continued support and presence since the inception of this worthy event. If you’d like to attend or want to know more, please contact Peter Foster on 07711 230128 or by email HERE
