News Report
We have now stocked over 2000 fish into Cart Pond which are a mixture of fish transferred back from Stemps together with Tench, Bream, Roach and Rudd which we have purchased from our stock supplier.
Our bailiffs have been working hard on rebuilding the platforms and making the pond ready for fishing. However, we do need your help and we hope as many of you as possible can turn out on Sunday 26th February for a work party. This will be primarily to tidy up access and paths etc. and it would be useful if you could bring spades, forks and rakes. The work party will start at 8.30 and all are more than welcome and we will be able to find something for everyone to do. Consequently the ponds will be closed for fishing on that day, so if you were thinking of having a fish, don’t cancel your visit and still come over but bring your gardening tools instead of your fishing tackle. Our bailiff team would greatly appreciate it.
Now To The Good News
From Monday 20th February a limited number of pegs on Cart will be opened, basically from the entrance side of the stream round the back of the pond will be opened.
New site maps have been created and are on the notice board by the entrance. These show exactly which pegs are available.
Please do not venture over the bridge between the ponds, although it is drying out the ground on the other side is still soft and we want to leave it undisturbed for the moment. We hope to be seeding the ground with grass fairly soon (weather permitting) and once the grass takes hold this will assist in firming up the ground so that we can once again utilise all the pegs on site.
