Match Report
The second leg of the Presidents Cup was fished on Sumners Match Lake in conjunction with the Sportsman Club. Temperatures had dropped in the week before the match but there had been no frost. Match day was dry with a variable and chilly wind. Two set of scales were used for the weigh in which was carried out down both sides of the lake, so I only could take some photos from the side that I fished. Unfortunately the club photographer, Steve Pentecost was not fishing the match.
Catches mainly consisted of carp ranging from small stockies up to double figure fish – the best of which was Mick Greenway’s 16-8-0 fish caught on the feeder. There was also a 9-1-0 barbel caught by one of the Sportsman’s members.
First place in our match and in the Sportsman’s match was Paul Ward who caught 12 carp weighing 117-4-0 mainly on the feeder.
Second place was taken by Richard Leduc with carp weighing in total 70-6-0.
Jon Arnold took third place with 49-4-0 of carp.

After two legs of the Presidents Cup Mick Greenway and Phil Tubb are tied on 16 points.
