Match Report
A fine dry day with light wind was the forecast for this visit to The Granary and as always the lake looked good but the water level was down a good 20″ on normal. We let Cody do the pegging and he mixed it up a bit by putting in one of the ends and a couple of pegs along the island.
Things got off to a slow start with just a few Rudd showing but after an hour or so a few Carp had been hooked and landed.
Keith on peg 13 was hooking a few close to the Island and losing them in the overhanging branches. After losing 5 a new plan was needed so he went looking for the same depth of water in a more open area and that was found at close to 16m about 2m off the end of the island and he never looked back after that move. His 75lb 8oz was easily enough to win the match.
Cody switching between the pole and the feeder kept a few Carp coming for the most of the match and 30lb 10oz gave him second place.
In third with 24lb 7oz was Steve Tubb who drew peg 5, he was playing hit and hold with fish under the trees on his right hand side and managed to get a few out in the end but lost a lot.
