Early Season Specimen

Dave Chambers gets the 2012/13 Specimen Trophy contenders list off to a great start with this 15lb 4oz Rother Barbel pictured below.

Dave was the runner up in last years Specimen Trophy list despite setting a new record for a Rother Barbel with a fish of 16lb 12oz.

This latest fish is Dave’s fifth different Barbel over 15lb he’s landed from the Rother in the last couple of seasons. It is also believed to be the same fish that Fishery Officer Nelson Keet landed a week earlier at a similar weight.
