Match Report
The week prior to this match had been the norm for this season with low night temperatures coupled with heavy rain. This did not offer high hopes for catches and this proved to be the case with four out of the ten anglers not even getting a bite. Again catches were of bream (8) and carp (9) with no small fish being caught.In first place continuing his incredible run of victories was Mike Kitchener who was fishing on peg 14 and had three bites which resulted in three carp weighing 14-7-8. These were caught on maggot or meat using the long pole.
Fishing peg 3 was Mick Greenway who had four bites but unfortunately lost one of the carp he hooked. The three, he landed, weighed 14-2-8 and were caught on the pole using bread punch or dead maggots.
Kevin Leighfield was fishing on peg 8 and showed his bream catching skills that he normally exhibits at Petworth Park. He pole fished to catch four bream and a single carp weighing 12-5-0. These were caught on maggots or worm.
